Texas rows come from TDI's open-data P&C rate-filings feed and carry a received_date; California rows come from the CDI 'Rate Filing Approvals' lists, which print only a closed/approval date per filing (no received date), so CA carries closed_date and /v1/rates/activity buckets CA by it; Washington rows come from the WA OIC annual reports' top-5 homeowners/auto rate-change disclosures (per-company, annual, not filing-level) and bucket by the report edition (report_date); Mississippi rows come from MID's monthly rate-filing bulletin, which does not print a received date, so received_date is null for MS and /v1/rates/activity buckets MS filings by the bulletin's publication month (report_date) instead. Each state buckets by the point at which the filing entered the public record, the analog to Texas's received_date. rate_change_pct is null for filings that print no overall percentage (e.g. new-program, rule, or form-only filings); those filings count toward filing_count but are excluded from avg_rate_change_pct/share_increasing/share_decreasing.","note":"Free sample: per-state filing counts and received_date range, plus a few of the largest recent rate increases.
